Building details: Located in the new 147,000 square foot Concourse “G” structure, the new Central Unity Plant serves Concourse G, and future Concourses D, E and F. It also serves Delta’s airplane de-icing systems as well as the future Delta Headhouse.
Project details: KSW sourced and installed a plant with a 5200 ton chiller array. This included a dedicated 1160 ton Ice Making Chiller, supportive Cooling Towers, Heat Exchangers, and Pumps. The boiler plant consists of six 10,000 MBH Hot Water Boilers. The Ice Storage system is made up of sixty five, 1655 gallon storage tanks with a combined capacity of over 1,000,000 pounds of ice.
