Building details: 7 Hanover Square (also known as 100 Pearl Street) is an early 20th Century office building located in lower Manhattan. When the building was sold, most tenants left while the existing mechanical systems needed to be updated – redesigned and/or replaced.
Project details: KSW worked with the new owners of the building to provide temporary heating and cooling for the few remaining tenants while managing system changes. More than fifty new air conditioning units were deconstructed, hoisted via a small standard passenger elevator, and reassembled in situ while construction work carried on. Boiler Plants, Cooling Towers, and custom Air Handling Units were all simultaneously replaced.
